Overview of filament yarn properties: dope-dyed, flame-retardant, antibacterial, antimicrobial, recycled and IR light-reflective yarns

Filament yarn properties – tailored to your requirements

With our extensive product range, you can choose between different polymers, degrees of matting, filament cross sections, individual colours and special additives. This adaptability allows for almost endless variations – from classic shades and innovative tones to unique effects. The properties of our filament yarns are based on various polymers such as polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) and biodegradable polyester. Recycling solutions are, of course, also part of our portfolio: from rPET made from bottle flakes to chemically or thermomechanically recycled materials.

Variety of yarn properties

In addition, a wide range of additives are available that can further enhance the functionality of our yarns. The yarn types can be made flame-retardant and UV-stable for technical applications, hydrophobic or antibacterial for particular special requirements, or IR-reflective for protective textiles. The yarns can be produced in a variety of cross sections as required, such as round, trilobal or octalobal. We also offer an extensive choice of matting levels, super bright over bright and semi dull to deep dull surfaces. This creates tailor-made yarn properties that fulfill both technical and aesthetic demands – individual, flexible, and precisely matched to your requirements.
